Abiotic Factor server RAM: how much do you need?
Abiotic Factor is built for small co-op teams — six is the recommended cap, and the server supports up to 24 — so the question is less how many players and more how far apart they roam.
Recommendation
You need a server with at least
6GB

- +1.5 GB
- Estimated Raw Usage:
- 4.5 GB
- Suggested cores:
- 4
- Disk to allow:
- 10 GB+
Unreal Engine. The facility streams in sectors as players move, so a spread-out team costs more CPU than one sticking together.

What uses the memory in Abiotic Factor
The research facility is split into sectors that load as people move through them. A team working together keeps one area loaded; a team split across several sectors keeps several. That, plus everything built and stored in the base, is where the memory goes. No per-player figure is published, so treat these numbers as our estimate.

Where people get it wrong
Raising the player cap well above six and sizing as if nothing changes. The game warns above six for a reason, and each extra player who wanders off on their own adds a loaded sector.
