Soulmask server RAM: how much do you need?
Soulmask is one of the heavier servers on this site: an Unreal Engine 5 world full of tribespeople, animals and the settlements you build, all of which the server keeps simulating.
Recommendation
You need a server with at least
12GB
- Engine / Base OS:
- 10 GB
- Player Overhead:
- +1.5 GB
- Estimated Raw Usage:
- 11.5 GB
- Suggested cores:
- 4
- Disk to allow:
- 30 GB+
Unreal Engine 5 with a large simulated population of tribesmen and wildlife. Real core count helps.

What uses the memory in Soulmask
Most of the memory goes on the world rather than on players. The map, its wildlife and every tribesman you have recruited are live entities, and each base adds more. A fresh world is the lightest the server will ever be; one with several developed tribes is considerably heavier, and the figures here are our estimate rather than a number the developer publishes.

Where people get it wrong
Sizing from the player count. A handful of players with large recruited tribes can cost more than a full server of newcomers, so leave generous headroom and watch real usage after the first few weeks.
