7 Days to Die
Blood Moon Gamestage
How hard a 7 Days to Die Blood Moon hits has little to do with the date. It comes from gamestage, a figure worked out from your group, and it can make night 14 tougher than night 28.

How the numbers are worked out
Gamestage mixes player level, days survived and the difficulty setting, and for the horde it is averaged over everyone online. The calculator estimates where you will land and what that means for what spawns — most groups mainly want to know when radiated zombies will turn up.
The formula
- gamestage = floor(base × difficulty modifier × multiplayer bonus)
- zombies per player = max(1, floor(gamestage ÷ 5))
- horde size = zombies per player × party size

Common mistakes
The averaging is what catches groups off guard. When a high-level player joins a low-level server, everyone's gamestage goes up — so a friend who drops in to help can make the horde a lot nastier for the very people they came to help.
